There is a growing and unmet need to support people living with a neurological conditions in their homes and communities. This is why Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson’s and Dementia Canterbury have joined forces to create BrainTree.
Entré is a club unique to UC. Over the last 18 years, entré has given over $600,000 to ambitious students harboring their business ideas.
Backed by a wide variety of sponsors who have a hunger to see students grow and succeed, entré’s flagship event is the Startup Challenge, where they take students’ ideas in any stage of the process and accelerates them with connections to mentors, coaching, exclusive workshops, and a chance to win a slice of $85,000 in prizes! The startup scene is intense, exciting, welcoming, and nothing like Shark Tank… In saying that, Entre isn’t just for entrepreneurs, Entre is backed by a wide variety of corporate sponsors who see entre as a way of upskilling students through opportunities not provided in studies.
This year there’ll be many opportunities to compete in front of these sponsors, connect and mingle at social events and maybe even have them back your business venture. Annually Entre gives away $85,000 in cash and in-kind prizes + an initial start-up grant for our annual Startup Challenge contestants. During the 85k Start-up competition, student gain access to start-up mentors, coaches, and exclusive entre workshops.

Koru Care Christchurch provides special experiences for NZ children with serious and often on-going medical conditions and or disabilities by providing opportunities which are educational, fun, personally empowering and a means of further developing their social and life skills set.
